Jazz Collective 4 – 4 Improvisers

On Friday 12 April 2024, New Jam vzw and FerroForum are jointly organising a jazz/improvised music concert.

The concert on 12 April is intended to be a summit of the genre and will fit in perfectly with the spirit of FerroForum. Not only will the crème de la crème of ‘open’ jazz be performing acoustically (trio Luciano Pagliarini, saxes; Joe Fonda, bass; Joe Hertenstein, drums), but a second part will combine the sound of timpani (Pauken) with scrap metal, all piloted by Misch Feinen, who is none other than the initiator of FerroForum.

This will be the sixth concert organised by New Jam (Fred Bisenius + Luciano Pagliarini), founded in 2023 to take over from Jazz am Minett (1987-2005, over 200 shows), and all these concerts (Differdange, Esch, Saarbrücken) have been sold out. Hence the importance of booking your place in advance, as the number of spectators in the Atelier Central is strictly limited to 90.

At 6pm, a press conference will be held on site, at which the re-release of a Joe Fonda CD with Anthony Braxton and other New York musicians will be officially presented. All journalists and jazz organisers are invited to attend.
