THE JOURNEY OF BLAST FURNACE C FROM BELVAL TO CHINA
This conference, held by Nicolas Arendt and Zoé Konsbruck (C2DH), will look back at the history of blast furnace “C”, which was closed in 1995 after a major technical incident at the Belval site and then sold to China, where it remained in operation until 2024.
Followed by a discussion with Ed Maroldt and Guy Bock.
Organized by the University of Luxembourg and the Department of Historical and Industrial Heritage of the City of Esch-sur-Alzette.
Access will be provided via a shuttle bus at the Aloyse Meyer car park from 6 p.m.
