with Robert Maquil, geologist and storyteller, and the FerroForum team.
Saturday, July 15
9:00-12:00 Join us for a morning walk at the Lalléngerbierg, between Schifflange and Esch, where nature has reclaimed the reign of the escarpments, plateaus and cutting faces of the old open-pit mines. Robert Maquil will tell us the geological history of the red lands by taking us to distant eras, he will teach us to open our eyes, scratch the rock, break it, sniff it, … and sometimes even taste it!
This industrial and landscape heritage is now part of the MUB (Minett Unesco Biosphere) biosphere reserve.
